📚 Tutoring

I provide free tutoring to high school students at public schools in Salem, Massachusetts.

As the parent of students who have attended Salem High School and Salem Academy Charter School, I’m incredibly grateful for the Salem public education that my children have received. To pay it forward (and because it’s fun!), I work with local students who seek additional academic support.

Why I do this

I’ve always been drawn to education and filled with admiration for the people and work being done in my children’s schools. I’ve volunteered in a variety of capacities with Salem Public Schools, spent most of the last decade coaching youth softball and basketball, and have volunteered as a college coach with ScholarMatch.

I was a math nerd in high school, but didn’t actually do much math in my programming career. I reconnected with math and got excited about teaching and tutoring while doing math lessons on various topics with my kids (code name: Math Daddy :). Though they eventually tired of listening to dad, I loved our sessions together.

I’m passionate about learning, working with kids, and public education. Salem is blessed with terrific teachers and I strive to complement their efforts and support students through tutoring.
